WIO Analog Multiplex
Breakout board
Introduction
Some designs are based on analog values, but most microcontroller boards only provide a few ADC ports.
With a multiplexer 16 analog ports can be scanned with only 5 microcontroller pins.
Example design
PicoW Pins
Breakout | PicoW | WIOpicoW-01 | Remark |
---|---|---|---|
SIG | GP26 | I/O2-8 | ADC0 |
S0 | GP18 | I/O2-3 | |
S1 | GP19 | I/O2-4 | |
S2 | GP20 | I/O2-5 | |
S3 | GP21 | I/O2-6 |
GCA Boards
WIO Setup
Supported boards:
- Pico W
- Pico 2W
Option Analog multiplex must be activated and the WIO must be reboot.
Threshold
The Control Steps value is used as percentage, 0…100%, of the analog value, 0…4095, to trigger the ON state.
The WIO will report digital input events.
